Hi, I'm Nicola Tweed, a South African born girl with a passion for Pilates, nutrition, meditation, inspiration and goal getting.
Looking back on the last 28 years of my life and summarising it into this little about page then expressing my likes + dislikes is going to be tricky but I'm going to try because I'd love for you to get to know me better.
So here goes....
2 lovely Scottish parents gave birth to a little girl in the South Africa winter of 1985. While said girl was a spring chicken her parents relocated to an awfully small, tiny, minute town in Botswana called Palapye... and there her and family lived for many years.
When the little girl was no longer little she decided to spread her wings and venture off to foreign lands where people spend their days eating fresh baguettes, delicious cheese and sipping on red wine. Paris she was to stay for a year, trying her best to Parle Francaise and look after 3 very naughty French boys. Paris gave her confidence and taught her that spending time alone was beautifully done at any cafe, watching passers by and occasionally scribbling in her journal. She will always remember 'those 2 weeks' in Paris, no work, glorious summer sunshine, an awesome friend (L'Harriette) and the opportunity to totally unwind by the Seine. After a year she waved goodbye to the frogs boarded the Eurostar and landed in Pommie Land.
Little did she know Pommie Land would be her home for almost 8 years! London was mixture of hard work, partying, lots of awesome friends and the place she would meet a special someone who would bring her right back to the country she was born in. A hunter who had lived and grown up in Howick (South Africa) his whole life.
In April 2013 she packed her London possessions and fearfully moved to Howick, a town not far from Durban. The adjustment from BIG city to little town has been a great challenge for her but one that she has chosen to fully embrace. She now fills her time personal training, gym instructing and web designing. The doors of opportunity are open to her and the excitement of the future is breathtaking.
