Before Midnight

I got goosebumps when I discovered the enchanting romance of Jesse and Celine had spilled over into a trilogy. Why did it take me so long to discover this?

I've watched both 'Before Sunrise' & 'Before Sunset' about a million times and totally adore every single minute of the lovers journey. Simple, arty, honest, real and dreamy over the top romance! I love it and I'm so excited to watch the third movie this evening!

Happy Friday

I am grateful for a roof over my head, food in the fridge and the safety of 4 high walls.

I am grateful for the Midlands rain that nourishes this beautiful land of ours.

I am grateful for my car that allows me to freely go where I please.

I am grateful for the internet that allows me to connect and learn.

I am grateful for group family chats that make me giggle.

I am grateful for early morning sun rises and late evening sunsets.

I am grateful for every comment on my blog.

I am grateful for warm hot showers and clean skin.

I am grateful for Weekends off and long Sunday lie ins.

I am grateful for the money I have & the money I receive.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wouldn't be nice if today I receive more freelance work & got paid a little extra just in time for better Christmas presents?

Wouldn't it be nice if the sun came out to play today?

Wouldn't it be nice if I could have the clarity and creative to create a good back log of posts for me blog?

Wouldn't it be nice to appreciate what I have already? Wouldn't it be nice to never want more that what I already have?

Wouldn't it be nice to fully accept who I am? Wouldn't it be nice not to take some things people say to heart?

Wouldn't it be nice not to ever feel guilty?

Wouldn't it be nice to think of others before I think of myself?

Wouldn't it be nice to never feel jealous? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to give praise to people that deserve it?

Wouldn't it be nice to be secure in a relationship? Wouldn't it be nice to know the extent of someone's love for you?

Wouldn't it be nice to fully stand in silence and truly feel what it is to be alive?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love it when my creativity flows. I love it when my mind is clear and I am focused.

I love it when I have energy to give other people my time genuinely.

I love it when I am passionately doing what I love and time passes by so fast.

I love it when I get carried away on a blog, loving every word they have to say.

I love it when my boyfriend and I giggle over silly things.

I love it when I'm eating healthy, thinking positively and exercising like a mad man. I love it when I am at my best.

I love it when I am relaxed, free of worrying thoughts and judgements.

I love it when I am motivated to reach my goals and determined that nothing will stand in my way.

I love it when the sun shines and the warmth dances on my skin.

I love it when it rains and I can snuggle under a blanket, forget about the world and get lost in a good book.

I love it when I do what I am say I am going to do and get things ticked off my list.

Blog Lovin'

Wow silly season really is upon us! Finding 5 minutes in my day to breath is becoming very rare these days but secretly inside I love it because as the old saying goes 'The more you do, the more you want to do!'.

This week I've been pinning like crazy in preparation for our German themed couples dinner party which we will be hosting on Saturday evening, then I've been working on my freelancing web design offerings which will be live on the site soon (watch this space!) and I've been researching, brushing up and fine tuning my web design skills - the geek is back! Oh yes AND in between all that I've been helping all our lovely customers at The Ruby Orchard.

I have however managed to squeeze in a couple of reads during bath time and thought you might like to have a read too.....

1// Kez started off this week with this beautiful piece questioning what our creator thinks about our cardboard hamburgers and traffic jams. Must read!

2// My new found favourite blogger dished out some brilliant tips on 'How to turn your business into a reality'

3// Nadia van der Mescht got me obsessing over Alphabet Bags. Simplicity at it's best!

4// We kicked off our Ruby Orchard gift guide this week... totally want everything on it but most especially the green mustard pot!

5// Last week A Beautiful Mess released their app for Android - Finally! Yay!

6// I signed up for a week of sharing gratitude and was paired with newly qualified Yoga teacher Christine from Love, Life, Surf. It's so beautiful waking up to hear what she is grateful for!

7// I stumbled upon some delicious home grown talent with lots of great freebies you can use on your blog.

8// Ahhh this article made me nostalgic about those terrible English winters - how I don't miss them!

9// Sentences that can change your life!

10// Loving these colour combinations on Betty Red Design, getting my inspiration on for some big blogger theme templates coming in the New Year.

And lastly I'm loving Pinterest Explore - tailored made just for me!

What I've learnt about my body in the last 28 years

I love getting older, oh yes it's true. The older I seem to get the more I understand, accept and love myself. I come to peace with the silly things I do a whole lot quicker than when I was 21. I've also learnt how to treat my body with respect and now know what it likes and completely hates.

It's kinda sad we don't get a little guide book when we are born that tells us how to treat our bodies. It would make life a whole lot easier! The other day I was thinking that If we did get a guide book what would mine contain?
Here's the points I think would have featured in mine...

  1. Milk is for cows, not you! A little in your tea is ok but don't even think of drinking a glass of milk or eating cereal... you'll feel fuzzy, sluggish and your stomach will certainly not love you for it!
  2.  Water is your best friend, especially 3 litres of it a day. Play nicely with it and you'll have flawless skin and sparkly eyes.
  3. You were born an IT geek and that's great but make sure you put your laptop baby to bed by 8pm otherwise you'll be Mrs Grumps in the morning and no one likes a grumpy pants.
  4. The general hangover cure for everyone may be a fry up but for you it's an ice cold shower and lots of fresh juicy fruit, if that fails try a creme soda and cheese curls!
  5. Eat protein for breakfast it will fill you up and keep you going till lunch time.
  6. Don't eat crisps they will make you itchy!
  7. You don't need pills to make you better, you need fruit, veggies and rest!
  8. Unfortunately you will never tan. Just accept it. Also note that as soon as your skin starts to tingle you gotta get outta the sun... so that's like after 5 minutes!
  9. Exercise will cure a bad mood, a broken heart and generally just anything that your mind is having issues with!
  10. Exercise is the cure to cabin fever!
  11. As much as a hot bath sounds great it really isn't, you won't be able to last more than 10 minutes in a hot bath.
  12. A hot shower on the other hand is your perfect day dreaming spot!
  13. 2 glasses of wine is more than sufficient to get you tipsy
  14. You will always have an initial freak out and a little emotional fit when there is lots of work to be done but when you start doing it you'll be like WTF why was I freaking out?
  15. Pilates will make your sex life ROAR!
  16. Coffee will make you zingggggggg
