Blogosphere Love: Connie Chapman

I feel so privileged to be able to feature this gorgeous woman on my blog. She is my ultimate inspiration and every blog post she writes I can relate too. Last year I was one of the many lucky ones who took part in her 90 day transformation project. A project to help you turn yourself into a bigger, brighter, more confident version of yourself. This is real inner work and a project that really changed my life!

........................................................................

1. Tell us where you are in your life right now (in your perspective) + what are your intentions for the rest of 2013?
I have spent most of 2013 in a very action orientated space where I was incredibly busy and a lot of my attention was on things outside of me. I have recently been experiencing a real shift around this and I am really beginning to take my attention off all of the things I am doing and the results I am getting so I can place it more on me and
who I am being in each moment. I am taking more time to connect with myself, tune in to my heart, listen to my inner guidance and bring more presence to each moment.
My intention for the rest of 2013 is to continue to dive deeper in to knowing and living my truth and who I feel I really am, and being able to bring that out of me so I can share it with the world through my writing, my coaching packages and my online programs.

2. What fuels you to do what you do?
Love! I love that work that I do, the messages I get to share and who I feel I am when I am doing it.

3. They say 'You are what you're attracted too'. So tell me who inspires you and why?
I am inspired by anyone who is truly following their heart, being willing to take risks to act on the inner guidance they receive and anyone who is really embodying their truth. There is a big difference between knowing something and living it, and I am really inspired by people who are living it.

4. How do you overcome the inner critic in you?
Through awareness, observation and detachment. And also with a lot of love! The more that I fight with my inner critic or attempt to get rid of it, the stronger it gets. So, instead I notice it and observe it without getting caught up in it's story. I then choose to connect with the loving perspective and see myself in a compassionate, kind and supportive way.

5.DREAM BIG: Where do you want your business to take you?
I just want to keep doing what I love everyday which is being able to spread a powerful and inspiring message through speaking, writing, coaching and creating.
If I were to dream big about the form this might take, I would love to write and publish several books, be able to travel the world speaking and contributing in a big way to the energetic shift in consciousness that is currently happening on our planet.

7.How did  you get onto you business path + what does it mean to you?
I kind of fell into business! I was completing my life coach training and attempting to run a part time coaching business while also managing a day job! It was pretty crazy. I reached breaking point and knew I had to change something so I quit my job and jumped into running a business full time!
I am still learning so much about business but for me I try to keep the seriousness and over planning out of it, and instead enjoy it and use it as a beautiful platform to share and spread my message in an even bigger way.

8. How do you give thanks to your body everyday?
By taking time out each morning to be quiet and still in meditation. It slows my mind, keeps me calm and grounded and soothes my nervous system. I also have a big green smoothie every morning to send it lots of love in the form of vitamins and minerals.

9. What do you LOVE?
So much! My work, my spiritual practice, my daily meditation, living by the beach, nature, my boyfriend, delicious and nutritious food, travelling, learning, yoga, snuggling up in bed with a cup of tea while reading an awesome book. The list could go on...

10. When the going gets tough, how do you keep yourself going?
If I ever feel overwhelmed, I just practice coming back to me. Coming back to the truth. It is only when I get caught up in my story, my fears and my external world that things become tough. I just have to remember to step back, let go, turn inwards and breathe.

.................................................................................

The 90 Day Transformation Project is a comprehensive 3 month journey that will take you deep within yourself to clear out the fears, beliefs and limiting stories that have been holding you back so you can move forward to become the happiest, most abundant and radiant version of yourself. The 90 day Transformation Project starts on the 11th August 2013.... you can sign up here.

Blogosphere Love: Through My Looking Glass

Meet Katherine Mackenzie-Smith, the vibrant soul behind 'Through My Looking Glass'. This lady is a glorious bundle of fun. 2 weeks ago I had the honour of a little skype jam session with Katherine and it was epic! Our skype session overflowed with love + creativity + inspiration which is all in line with her new Idea's session project she is working on.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Tell us where you are in your life right now (in your perspective) + what your intention is for the rest of 2013.
Right now I'm in the zone of trying to figure out my best possible work/life/starting-my-own-business balance. If you've been there, you know it is tough! Working 50 hours a week to come home and blog and work on my own projects, PLUS try and have a life and spend time with my chosen person. Phew! But I'm determined to make it happen.

My intention for the rest of 2013 is to finish my eCourse, take on some coaching clients, go to New York, and celebrate the little wins along the way.

2. What fuels you to do what you do?
Passion. Knowing that I have spent a lot of time working towards things I ended up not wanting could be as it is to pick yourself up after a relationship falls apart or you lose your job. But you know what keeps me going? Knowing deep down in my core being that I have something amazing to offer to the world and that it would be just wrong of me to not put it out there! I love helping people and it's become the thing that gets me out of bed in the morning!

3. What is the best advice you have been given?
Oh so much, but I won't bore you! Probably one of my all time favourites is Jim Rohn's old saying 'If you will change, everything will change for you'. It is simple but so powerful. Just change one tiny thing and a multitude of options will become available for you. If you don't like where you are in life, work it out and change it. Self awareness is so important!. Own it.

4. They say 'You are what you're attracted to'. So tell me who inspires you and why?
I'm kind of a people junkie. I love people. I'm an extroverted introvert, if that's even a thing. The people that inspire me the most are those who never give up, who are always striving for greatness but being content to enjoy the journey along the way. I surround myself with people who are generous, wonderful, special little creatures and I bask in the greatness of just knowing them.

5. How do you overcome the inner critic in you?
I'm still not sure that I have this one down pat but I also think that it's necessary to listen to that little voice and be aware of whether it is warning you out of fear or for a reason. I listen to that little guy and if it turns out I want something or believe something badly enough, I can pretty much tell him where to go...or I take it on board and move through the fear.

6. DREAM BIG: Where do you want your blog + business to take you?
I'm a Pisces so dreaming big is kind of in my make up (apparently). There are some big plans on the horizon - close by and then a bit further in the distance. I dream of having a space online and in the 'real world' where I can connect with like-minded people and collaborate our talents for a higher purpose. Watch this space, I'm coming for you!

7. How did you come to the healthy path + what does it mean to you?
I think I've always had a pretty good understanding of being healthy, eating well, and trying to look after myself. This year, though, I've been highly influenced by just how many health and wellbeing bloggers are out there. Whoa! There is a lot to learn. I love the feeling that you get after a yoga class, a green smoothie, or a little bit of meditation. It all comes back to feeling the way you want to feel and creating that balance in your life when we're so prone to busyness and stress. It's really important to be kind to our bodies!

8. How do you give thanks to your body everyday?
Ooh, that's a good question! I probably don't do it enough but I feel so grateful when I get out for a walk every day and feel my body just moving and stretching. Getting a little vitamin D from the sun and just appreciating how lucky I am to be healthy in my skin.

9. What do you LOVE?
I love coffee + hugs + chatting to my special peeps + loving and being loved + knowing that I've helped someone + cake + sun walks + flannie pjs + good TV + feeling inspired + writing + blogging + the colour pink + the beach + laughter + live music + cute cafes + lipstick

10. When the going gets tough, how do you keep yourself going?
Some days I think it's important to acknowledge what is going on. Like if you're feeling down, why is that? Are you tired, overworked, stressed, overwhelmed? Sometimes it's as easy as staying in your PJs all day and just resting because, damn, I don't know about you but I don't let myself do that very often. Sometimes it's as easy as picking up the phone and talking to my mum or going out for coffee with one of my special people, or putting music on and dancing around the house like a fool. Other days it's about journalling and writing stuff down, trying to work out the next step forward or how to change course if the current one isn't working.

Thank You!

If you follow me on facebook (which you should be doing), you'll notice I put up a little post about abundance on Wednesday. It went a little something like 'Abundance is all around us all the time we just need to choose to see it!'. Too many times in my life I take things for granted and wonder why I am not abundant, now I've realised why? and that's because I am not making the conscious choice to actually see it!

So today I am choosing to see my abundance in the following.....

1// A lunch time meeting with the very talented Nadia van der Mescht in Durban on Tuesday. Nadia is a creative consultant with bags of creative talent and a huge love for buttons + stationary!

2// An boundless stream of beautiful blog posts from In Spaces Between - this site + woman never fail to inspire me.

3// The gorgeous souls that come to the Contours Ladies gym in Howick. Everyone special in their own way.

4// A full day of pampering coming up at Indigo fields and a chance to see my sister again

5// My boyfriend who encourages me in the most round about ways

I'd love to know what you are grateful for this week. Leave your abundant thanks in the comments below....

Happy Birthday Mandela!

As a tribute this great man who encouraged a nation to rise up and change, I've gathered together a couple of his most inspiring words to join in on his 95th birthday celebrations.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid but he who conquers that fear."

"It always seems impossible until it is done"

"There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."

"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered"

"Money won't create success, the freedom to make it will"

Blogosphere love: Happy Healthy Whole

Today's blogosphere love is Tegan Westra, the positive beam of sunshine behind Happy Healthy Whole. What I love about Tegan is her openness and honesty and of course the amazing recipes she posts weekly! One of her best posts (in my opinion) is all about her struggle with her eating disorder, be sure to check it out here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Tell us where you are in your life right now (in your perspective) + what are your intentions for the rest of 2013?
At the moment in my life I can honestly say I am the happiest and healthiest I've ever been and gosh it feels GOOD! I struggled with an eating disorder for many years and felt like a fraud the entire time. I spent my days pretending I was happy and healthy while wishing that I actually was + the mind games drove me insane.
Now, my focus is on nourishing my body with the love and care it deserves, connecting with other women through my work and teaching them how to do the same via my website www.teganwestra.com.

2. What fuels you to do what you do?
The fire burning deep inside my belly that tells me I was put here to make a difference in other peoples lives.

3. What is the best advice you have been given?
Do what you love.

4. They say 'You are what you're attracted too'. So tell me who inspire you and why?
Anyone can sit at a desk working 9-5 for the rest of their lives. It takes huge courage to step outside of that. Women who aren't afraid to break that mould and go out into the world to make a difference and pursue something that really matter to them - That's what inspires me.

5. How do you overcome the inner critic in you?
Ahh, my inner critic. For many years, her nagging voice was the only one I knew. She dicated how I felt each day and for a long time I couldn't actually distinguish between her and my rational consciousness. Today, when she pops up I use the steps I teach in my e-course '12 steps to your Happy Healthy Dream Life'. Which you can sign up for here.

6. DREAM BIG: Where do you want your blog + business to take you?
I want to make a difference in Women's lives and I'm excited for where ever that happens to take me.

7. How did you come to the healthy path + what does it mean to you?
I got here after realising that the life I was living wasn't the one I wanted for the future and so I decided to work to change it. That has meant working to change my thought patterns first and foremost and I found once I did that, everything else began to fall into place.

8. How do you give thanks to your body everyday?
I do my best to listen to what it needs. If I'm supposed to be doing something and it doesn't feel quite right I won't do it. I also nourish it with real whole foods, lots of water and lots of greens because I know when I do, I feel my best.

9. What do you LOVE?
The high you get immediately after an awesome workout. Or, the buzz from a delicious smoothie filled with nutritious superfoods or the sense of accomplishment you feel when you achieve something you'd previously told yourself you couldn't achieve. Those are a few things I love.

10. When the going gets tough, how do you keep yourself going?
I remind myself of the bigger picture and bring myself back to my why? Why am I doing what I do? And I look to the future and remind myself that to get to where I want to go I have to keep moving forward no matter how tough things seem at the time.

Why I'm so over hangovers!

*Warning! This post may be filled with notes of sadness because yes that's exactly what alcohol does to you!*
_____________________________________________________

After this weekends shinanigans I've finally come to the conclusion that enough is enough! Copious amounts of alcohol does no good for anyone and even more specifically me!

Yesterday's realisation wasn't an instant light bulb aha! moment, it was more like a slow burning candle of knowing inside me. For the last 5 years or so I've known deep down that if I gave up alcohol, my life would change in so many ways. There is that inner knowing and then there is the proof out there.. read how Clare (From This is Life Blood) is not getting drunk any more and how Tara (From Such Different Skies) is helping many like minded women with her Party Girls Guide to Peace course.

There have been many times in my life where I have woken up the morning after and thought, nope never again, this time I am definitely hanging up my drinking shoes for good but then the weekend rolls around and it's me the wine and a hangover AGAIN! The sick cycle of feeling depressed, demotivated, lazy and annoyed with myself starts all over every Monday morning. I hate how I wake up in the morning and replay every moment of the night, beating myself up for saying things that are probably really best left unsaid (ie. telling someone you really despise them!). And what I hate even more is how it kills your fitness levels, I feel like every time I drink it's like I'm starting all over again from square one.

Ok so I'd love to give up the booze but going cold turkey is a sure fire way of failing! So my thought is that I'm not saying that I'm giving up alcohol altogether, what I am giving up is the hangovers. No more lazing on the couch watching mind numbing T.V and feeling sorry for myself on a Sunday. No more weekends of eating big full English fried breakfasts, creme sodas, nik naks and cheese curls.

What I'm saying yes to is more productive weekends, writing, hiking, running, getting outdoors, playing squash, going to markets, being creative (upcycling) and feeling refreshed on Mondays!

Imagine the life I could create for myself sans alcohol???

The benefits of using a glass water bottle + my new obsession

I am totally obsessed with Consol's new(ish!) Grip & Go Bottles. They are perfect for water and freshly squeezed juices (Yay! just in time for Justin Vale's 7 day detox).

I've never been a fan of buying bottled water because a. I feel that it is a waste of money; b. All that plastic is bad for the environment and c. I have no clue as to where the water has come from - for all I know it could have come from the local tap and not from a magical spring in the Swiss mountains.

Anyway this explains my ecstatic excitement over the these little guys. Not only are they pretty snazzy (they come in a wide variety of colours) they are also made from one of the greenest materials on the planet (glass duh!) and are 100% recyclable.

Other benefits of using a glass water bottle include....

Not having to worry about unknown chemicals that can leach into your water as such with plastic water bottles.
Not having to worry about your water/juice tasting unpleasantly plastic or metallic as glass is taste neutral and does not influence the content of the bottle.
Glass bottles can last ages + keep your water and juice fresher for longer.
A Glass bottle will save you money and in turn will save the planets resources

*The red stuff in the green bottle is fresh beetroot, carrot and apple juice... Simply delicious!
*Note: I was not paid by the manufacturers to review this product, this is honest truth about a good product! And yes all the pictures were taken by me*

Your 4 Personal Agreements

1// Never take anything personally.
How other people act is not because of me, this is down to their life experience, thoughts and emotions. I will never let this worry me or influence my decisions in life.

2// Think before I speak.
I will speak with integrity, refrain from gossip. I will be open and honest, say what I mean and ask for what I really want.

3// Not make assumptions.
If I am unclear I will speak up and ask questions, I will not assume that another person knows what I want or how I feel. I will also not assume that another person is thinking certain thoughts.

4// Always do my best.
Everyday I will do my best, if I've completed a task, written a report etc and can truthfully say I've done my best then I can walk away guilt-free. I will then never look back with regrets or worries.

Embracing You + Me and Our originality

{ o·rig·i·nal }
Preceding all others in time; first.
♥ Not derived from something else; fresh and unusual:
♥ Productive of new things or new ideas; inventive:
♥ An authentic work of art:
♥ A person who is appealingly odd or curious; a character.
...................................................................................................................................................................

Look at yourself in the mirror. Look at your eyes, your mouth, your nose, your cheeks, your ears, look at everything. Now tell me when was the last you saw anyone like you? Never! Exactly! We are all original and each have our own unique qualities that make us special individuals.

I have two very very unique quirks about me. No 1. I have red hair and No 2. I have a gap in my tooth (hence the pics). Unbelievably it took me over 20 years to love my red hair. When I was 18, I crazily dyed it black, yup what the hell was I thinking, black?!? of all colours on my fair skin?! It took me months, lots of cash and many burnt toast (half was black and half was red) name callings to get it back to my original colour. What a mistake! Anyway this little (very bad) mistake made me fully appreciate my hair and I am now at total peace with it and fully embrace it everyday.

Everyone has their little quirks, it makes you special and original. Imagine if you didn't have them, you'd be a plain Jane and that would be boring!

Here are 3 ways for you to embrace your quirkiness....

1// Own your flaws, make them work in your favour. Acknowledge them and make them part and parcel of who you are. Look at Cindy Crawford, her little quirk was her mole and boy did she work it!

2// Put your quirkiness out there, don't hide it away as it may stop you from making friends or doing the things you enjoy. Remember to also take note of when you receive positive feedback about your quirks.

3// Remember that quirks are your perfection, if you didn't have any quirks you wouldn't be human.

Blogosphere love: Your Highest Self

Today's blogosphere love is Elizabeth McKenzie, the beauty behind Your Highest Self. This woman is totally rad (yup I used the word rad and so does Elizabeth!) and has been on a lovely journey to meet her true self. Exciting news is that Elizabeth is working on her first ebook called 'find your voice', a course that will help you find + speak and strengthen your true voice, discover your juju and unleash the unlimited potential within you.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Tell us where you are in your life right now (in your perspective) + what your intention is for the rest of 2013.
Right now I’m a student by day, studying speech pathology, and a blogger + inspirer by night helping young women find their voice and speak their truth, so I guess you could say right now I’m pretty busy! I’m really focused on enjoying the little things in life, because they snowball and make up the big things. My intention for the rest of the year is to graduate and work part time with kids and release my first e-program.

2. What fuels you to do what you do?
Knowing that I can help change people’s lives fuels me enough.

3. What is the best advice you have been given?
The best advice? That’s a hard one. I’d have to say start before you’re ready. The only reason why I have a blog right now is because I started before I was ready. Took that leap and here I am.

4. They say 'You are what you're attracted to'. So tell me who inspires you and why?
There are so many inspiring beautiful babes making their dreams come true right now in the blogosphere but I think who inspires me the most is my kinesiologist. She has shown me how you can really change people’s lives by harnessing your gifts and by being your true and authentic self.

5. How do you overcome the inner critic in you?
By shining light on my inner critic. That way it can’t hide and manipulate me via stealth mode. I think once we realise what’s actually happening - that our inner critic is trying to protect us and keep us where we are comfortable - it makes it so much easier to remove the power our inner critic has over us.

6. DREAM BIG: Where do you want your blog + business to take you?
I want my blog to be a space where young women can come to get their juju back. To change the way they think, to find their voice, learn how to listen to it and speak their truth. I know so many of us young women are so damn ready to stake our claim on this world but feel that for some reason or another they just can’t. I want to have programs and one on one and books and long term transformational sessions with these young women. I want to run real life workshops and speak to thousands of women. Start a revolution of women speaking their truth and owning their destiny. Wow. That was BIG.

7. How did you come to the healthy path + what does it mean to you?
Being healthy means being in touch with what your body wants and needs. It’s being able to tune in and listen, and then follow through. For me, my fitness journey has been happening for years and I love working out but over the past 18 months I’ve really started looking at things from a holistic point of view. The mindset stuff really controls all that other healthy stuff so getting that right is really important.

8. How do you give thanks to your body everyday?
With loads of sleep. I can’t not have at least 8 hours of sleep a night. I make sure that I thank my body for everything we’ve done that day by honouring it’s tired ass and taking myself to bed.

9. What do you LOVE?
I LOVE my puppy dog Melvin. He’s a mini labradoodle and has changed my life. He’s taught me so much. I literally can’t live without him.

10. When the going gets tough, how do you keep yourself going?
You know what? When the going gets tough sometimes I don’t get going. I allow myself to just be still. To stay in bed, to watch tv shows on repeat. To write in my journal and not for my blog. To gently walk instead of run. It’s all about going easy. Think about what’s the easiest, most enjoyable thing you can do and then do it. And never try to force yourself to feel better. You will get going again, but only once you’ve allowed yourself to feel that toughness.

Smiling Through

This evening I had the most beautiful trip down memory lane courtesy of my 2004 journal, my first journal ever. It's beautiful imperfection. A miss mash of feelings, moments and scribbles. I love how I used to furiously note down every quote, poem or article I was drawn too. I also remember that if I read something (worth saving) in a book I had to return I would spend hours noting it down in my journal. Ahhh to be 18 again! I love the doodles and French flag I created when I moved to Paris on the 8th June 2004, this even includes my first metro ticket, plane and baggage ticket!

Anyway I found this poem smack bang at the end of a really sad journal entry and it inspired me to write/create this blog post as a sign that even on a bad day there is hope and love if you just keep on smiling...

A smile costs nothing ♥ But creates much ♥ It happens in a flash ♥ And the memory can sometimes last forever ♥ It cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen ♥ But it is something that is no earthly good to anyone until it is given away ♥ So if in your hurry or rush ♥ You meet someone who is too weary to give you a smile ♥ Leave one of your own  For no one needs a smile ♥ Quite so much ♥ As he who has none to give.

It also inspired me to create a pinterest board called 'One look and you'll be smiling again'  because trust me you will be smiling and laughing again, it is contagious. Honestly it is I am grinning from ear to ear after scrolling through my board. Go on, I know you want to....

If you are inspired to create a smiling, laughing or even happiness board please share it with us in the comments below.

What if... You treated your body like you treat your best friend?

Your body is your intimate partner and your loyal life companion so why do so many of us treat it like our very own worst enemy. How about if we showed our body as much appreciation and gratitude as our best friend?!

What if, for example....

1// ...you told your body everyday how much you loved and appreciated it, how you couldn't be where you are today without it?

2// ...you pampered and showered your body with gifts on random occasions.

3// ...you made promises to your body and kept them.

4// ...you listened to your body without judgement and without criticizing it for every little mistake.

5// ...in fact you didn't even notice all the so called 'mistakes' of your body.

6// ...you encouraged her to run that marathon, try out a new pilates class or even to go get her cholesterol checked.

7// ...you made time every morning to nourish your body with a healthy breakfast.

8// ...you'd remind your body to go for your annual check up, or go to the doctor when you were feeling ill.

9// ...you treated your body with love and care when you were ill.

10// ... you'd check in with your body every now and then to see if it's on the right path and feeling good.

Your motivation va va voom journal

Your eyes open wide, you stretch, you yawn and then you notice there is little to no juice in your motivation tank. Bummer! You know you need to fill up on the good stuff, but what can you use to put yourself into driving mode again?

Create something you can come back to time and time again, something that as soon as you look at it you feel good again - a motivation package that will kick start you at any time of the day.

Take an empty book, preferably something small so that you can carry it around with you, and fill it will things that make you go WOW! Quotes, pictures, ribbons, love letters, articles, special words or compliments you've received, smells (perfume can take you back to special moments in your life). Paint, scribble, doodle. Pour your heart into it.

It's yours, make it true to who you are, it doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be filled with things that will inspire, motivate and drive you.

Below are some photos of my motivation journals. I hope they inspire you to create your own....

Yes to possibilities

Imagine life, your life, a serious of moments defined by the choices you've made. Moments that would have been so different if you had changed the No to a big fat Yes, Yes, Yes! The twists, turns and memories of life would have been different bringing you too a magically present moment and a life without regret.

Saying Yes takes courage, it's you stepping out of your defined box, being bold and putting fear on a shelf. It can bring an instant reward for doing something different and is a sure way of bringing you out of the dull, boring life that you may be living.

If you are depressed or blue you get stuck in what I call the 'NO Mood'. Your mind and your body don't want to do anything, you don't want to see anyone, you don't want to go anywhere. The fear and the lack of motivation inside you forgets that Yes even exists. You've made yourself into a victim and actually enjoy feeling sorry for yourself and bathing in your own self pity and it's awesome, life is amazing? Yes? Well no it isn't and you can either continue to live like this and wake up years later with regret or you can slowly start saying Yes to the endless possibilities out there and turn your life around.

The world is a playground. You know that when you are a kid, but somewhere along the way everyone forgets it. - Allison (Yes Man)

When you say Yes you open yourself up to making new and exciting memories and as The Yes Man says, You're as likely to meet the love of your life at a shit party as at an amazing one. So don't only say yes to the invitations that seem appealing, say yes to everything (obviously within reason). Saying yes to something that you've never tried takes you out of your comfort zone and could open you up to a whole new hobby, passion, group of friends, a new love interest....you name it! Saying Yes boosts your confidence and reminds you that you can do anything. Remember what you say yes to may not work out but at least you can say that you tried!

Tip. Keep a list of all the things you have said Yes too and the next time you're in the 'No Mood' or even feeling slightly blue have a flick through your Yes list and remind yourself of all the amazing things that have come out of saying yes and the confidence you have gained from the 3 letter word.

Taking time to breathe

Beauty is true expression, genuine heart and love combined to bring out the person within you.

It's you on your highest level, sharing your talents with the world.

In the last couple of months my heart has felt very closed, expressing myself has become a chore and a cheap imitation of the many blogs (awesome ones) out there.

Words, my words, are muffled. I am unsure, my direction is wishy washy.

The month of July feels like a time for new beginnings and there is a whispering in my heart and a knowing that I need creative space to breath and become one with my true voice again. I need time to create and become connected to my words again.

I need to find my muse, my words and my direction.

This month I will be disconnecting from the constant self-comparison brought on by one main dog in the social media game. I will no longer rise to reading other bloggers words, I will rise to my words being scribbled in my journal. No editing. Just truth!

My month of July will be about...

1. Breathing, sunshine, nature, my body world, me, selfish practices and tuning out from distraction.

2. A focused heart, mind and soul.

3. Getting back in tune with my words, finding that place of love to write from, dedicating time to write + write and write. Without editing!

4. Morning meditation practices.

5. Evening intention setting.

6. Switching off from technology + reading - a trip to the library is a must!

I'll be back in August, refreshed and ready to connect with you all again then. x
