WordPress.com is mainly for bloggers looking for non-commitment and a little fun! WordPress.com gives you an inexpensive way of sharing your thoughts, images and content with the world. At the outset WordPress.com is free, you’re given a domain with the url .wordpress.com and several basic layout templates to choose from. If you pay a small price you can get a custom domain name, have access to the css files and the ability to remove any third party ads. The main pro about WordPress.com is that it comes with a built in spam protector, automatic backups and great security.
